The boys started school today. This never gets easier for me. I still get that knot in my heart when I leave them at that big school! Carter is in 5th grade and Brayden is in 3rd grade. They are both really happy with their teachers and I am so thankful for that. Molly spent the night with Nana last night so I could have the morning alone with the boys to get them ready for the first day. My plan was to take them to breakfast but they didn't want to go! What? Carter wanted cereal and Brayden wanted toast. They were excited to wear their new clothes and take their new backpacks and lunch boxes. They agreed to let me walk them in to school but at the last minute Carter decided that I could NOT walk him to his class. We said our goodbyes at the front door and down that long hall he went. Brayden, however, was more than willing to let me walk with him. Not only walk, but hold hands! When we got to his classroom he HUGGED me. Twice. And KISSED me. On the lips. And said "Love you, mom!" Oh, my heart. I sure love my boys and am so thankful that I am their mommy. They make me happy and they make me laugh every day. One of the reasons in starting this blog is to document the funny things my kids do and say. I am so excited to one day get the blog printed into a book so I can have it forever. I am watching the clock and so excited to pick the boys up from school and hear all about the first day. I am sure I will hear about the hot girls in their classes. haha! Tomorrow is Molly's first day of pre-school and I am getting really nervous. She is my BABY!!! I know she will have so much fun and that she will be prepared for kindergarten after a year at pre-school.
