Tonight was the fall festival at Natcher. All 5 of us went and had so much fun! We bought tons of tickets and Whitts bbq passes and we were set for a relaxing (me not cooking!) evening together. Brayden was quite the social butterfly and really surprised us. He has lots of friends and that makes me so very happy. We didn't even see him much the whole time we were there. He did check in with us often so we would know he was safe but he had so much fun just hanging out with his friends. Carter, we learned tonight, is the crush of more than a few sweet little girls. It was so funny to have these little girls run up to us and tell us that they have a crush on or think one of my boys are cute. Serious? 3rd and 5th grades? Wowzers. Molly got her hair painted pink and the boys got orange. By the end of the night Robbie's facial hair was pink and glittery from holding Molly Mae. While Brayden was Mr. Independent, Carter stayed pretty close to his little sister, I LOVE watching him with her. He is so sweet and patient and gentle with her. He is never ever mean to her. She knows that she can ask him for help and that she can count on him to protect her. I was talking to the assistant principal's wife and learned that her daughter, Evalina, has a "major crush" on Brayden. She and Brayden met in kindergarten. I told Brayden on the way home and he was for sure happy. Evalina is SO pretty and SO sweet. I was just casually talking about it to Brayden and he said "so, what do we need to do to get this done?" and when I asked what he meant he said "well, obviously a love connection needs to be made pronto!" As Mamaw Allen would say...OH MY LAND!

Today was the first official day of fall...I hung my fall wreath today and got out some fall decorations. I LOVE the fall and the cooler weather and the excitement of Halloween and Thanksgiving and Christmas coming soon.
