Christmas Day 2011

Christmas morning the first words I heard were out of the mouth of my sleepy voiced, shivering 4 year old Molly "Mommy, he came!". The kids ran over to their piles of presents from Santa and quickly realized that their Christmas wishes had come true! Carter's wish was for a Kindle Fire. Brayden's, an iPod Touch. And Molly's, a Baby Alive that poop's and pee's. All three of them oooh'd and ahh'd with excitement as they tore through their gifts. I sat on the couch and just watched and I felt....happy.

After the Santa presents were open we slowed things down and went around the room and took turns opening gifts so we could see what everyone got. We had to be at church at 10am to we all got ready and actually got to church on time! After church we came back home and ate some more yummy food and had Judy and Papa over to share it with us and to see what the kids got for Christmas. After they left we all went over to the nursing home to see Papaw and wish him a Merry Christmas. Jenny even took him one of her homemade cinnamon rolls...they are HOLY YUMMY! I love going to visit Papaw. This year I am going to try to go and see him more often. We live so close to him and I know that one day I am going to regret not going more often. I know that just a five minute visit means so much to him.

We had another great Christmas with WAY too many presents and WAY too many treats and we are so thankful for all of our blessings and friends and family! :)
